Boskalis update share buyback

Papendrecht, 09 December 2019 In the period from 2 December up to and including 6 December, Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) repurchased own shares. The repurchases took place within the framework of the share buyback program announced on 15 March 2019. Click here for a complete overview of all individual transactions. Boskalis acquires large land reclamation project in Manila Bay, Philippines

Papendrecht, 6 December 2019 Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) has received the Provisional Letter of Acceptance for the Design and Construction contract for the Pasay Reclamation Development Project in Manila Bay, Philippines in cooperation with CHEC from China. The award was made by the publicly listed company SM Prime Holdings Inc. (SMPHI), one of the largest property developers in Southeast Asia. The development will create a new commercial and residential area in a densely populated part of Manila. The contract value for Boskalis qualifies as large (1). As Boskalis, we have a rich tradition in land reclamation and we look forward to contributing to a modest incremental growth of the Philippines and to protect part of Manila against the effects of climate change. This has always been an important region for Boskalis and through this project, we have secured utilization for the large dredging vessels for the coming years.” The Pasay Reclamation Development Project in Manila Bay is a new and modern commercial and residential property development to be run by SMPHI. The project involves the reclamation of approximately 360 hectares through the construction of three artificial island according to international standards to ensure a safe living environment. The islands have been designed to withstand potential large earthquakes. In addition, shore protection works are designed to withstand typhoons. For the reclamation activities Boskalis will deploy a number of trailing suction hopper dredgers over a period of two years including its mega hopper dredgers. To accelerate the soil settlement, 60,000 kilometers of vertical drains will be installed. The entire reclamation area will be compacted with vibro- and dynamic compaction to ensure soil stability. The outer perimeter of the islands will be protected with a combination of rock revetment and a concrete wave wall. Preparatory work is scheduled to commence immediately and work on site is expected to start within the first quarter of 2020. The reclamation activities are expected to be completed within three years and the total project duration including land development is five years. Boskalis acquires remaining shares in marine survey company Horizon

Papendrecht, 25 November 2019 Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) has acquired the remaining 37.5% in the Horizon Group (Horizon). Earlier this year, Boskalis already acquired 62.5% of the shares. The 2019 revenue is expected to exceed USD 100 million and the activities will be consolidated as of 2020. Following this transaction, Boskalis will be able to optimize its successful and expanding position in the marine geophysical and geotechnical survey market. Horizon will continue to focus on its traditionally strong market position in the Middle East and Northwest Europe with opportunities to expand into the emerging offshore wind market in the Far East making it highly complementary to the position already held by Boskalis through Gardline in Northwest Europe and on the East Coast of the United States. Horizon was established in 2004 and is located in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. Boskalis adds USD 120 million of heavy marine transport contracts to the order book

Papendrecht, 20 November 2019 Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) recently secured a handful of heavy marine transport services contracts. The contracts were awarded by a variety of clients and carry a combined value of approximately USD 120 million. The execution of the majority of projects is scheduled to take place in 2021 and 2022. Following last year’s transportation of a sizable box-shaped FPSO, Boskalis secured a contract to transport a similar FPSO from China to Brazil. With a weight exceeding 91,000 tons this marks another record-breaking transport for the BOKA Vanguard, which is scheduled to commence at the end of 2019. Boskalis also secured a contract for the transportation of various large LNG modules from a fabrication yard in China to Russia. The contract ties up the two high-end open-stern heavy transport vessels Blue Marlin and Black Marlin commencing Q2 2021. Furthermore, Boskalis was awarded the contract for the transportation of an FPSO from the fabrication yard in China to the North Sea in 2021 and the transportation of two Floating Production Systems from Singapore to the Gulf of Mexico in the period 2021-2022. These cargoes will be transported on the White Marlin and Blue Marlin. These contracts were signed in the third and fourth quarter of 2019.
